Mission Overview
Proton-M is set to launch Elektro-L No.4 from Baikonur Cosmodrome, Republic of Kazakhstan, on February 5, 2023 at 09:12 AM UTC. The launch is provided by Khrunichev State Research and Production Space Center, with the Proton-M rocket carrying the Elektro-L No.4 satellite into Geostationary Orbit.
The Elektro-L No.4 satellite, developed by NPO Lavochkin, is part of the Elektro-L series, designed to capture real-time images of clouds and the Earth's underlying surface, heliogeophysical measurements, collection and translating hydrometeorological and service data. The Earth Science payload on board Elektro-L No.4 will provide valuable data for weather forecasting and climate monitoring.
