Mission Overview
Vega, provided by Arianespace, completed the launch of the Pléiades Neo 3 mission from the Guiana Space Centre in French Guiana on April 29, 2021, at 01:50 AM UTC. The launch placed the satellite into a Sun-Synchronous Orbit. This launch is part of the Pléiades Neo constellation, a series of four optical high-resolution Earth observation satellites built and operated by Airbus.
The Pléiades Neo 3 satellite is designed to deliver imagery with a spatial resolution of 30 cm. As part of the Pléiades Neo constellation, it will serve both civilian and military purposes. The Vega launch vehicle, provided by Arianespace, successfully carried the satellite into its intended orbit.
