Upcoming ESA–Industry events on CM25 implementation
The European Space Agency (ESA) announced a series of upcoming industry events in April and May 2026 to support implementation of the CM25 long‑term budget and programme plan, providing companies and stakeholders with opportunities to engage on procurement, partnerships and strategic priorities. ESA will hold workshops, briefings and networking sessions across multiple European locations, aiming to clarify technical requirements and contract frameworks associated with key programmes endorsed by member states at the 345th ESA Council of Ministers meeting. The events are scheduled to take place in Paris, France, Bremen, Germany, and Rome, Italy, and are open to interested industry participants seeking to understand future ESA opportunities.
Programme discussions at the industry events will cover implementation details for a range of ESA initiatives, including Earth observation, launch systems, space transportation, telecommunications, and human spaceflight infrastructure, with an emphasis on supporting European industrial competitiveness. Sessions will address procurement processes for upcoming contracts, outline technical objectives and timelines, and provide forums for dialogue between ESA programme directors, engineers and potential suppliers. The events are designed to facilitate early industry engagement on requirements for missions and systems that will be solicited under CM25, where funding and priorities have been agreed by ESA member states to guide European space activities through the late 2020s.
ESA’s outreach initiative reflects the agency’s effort to ensure transparency and competitive participation in its multi‑billion‑euro programmes as industry seeks clarity on contracting opportunities tied to CM25 implementation. By hosting these sessions, ESA aims to support SMEs and larger contractors alike in preparing proposals and aligning technical capabilities with agency needs. The events also provide a platform for companies to discuss collaborative approaches, explore partnership possibilities and align with ESA’s strategic objectives for space exploration, Earth science, technology development and institutional services.
